William’s persistence and work has earned him an invite to help in a two man team reline of the cave Minotauro.   Believe it or not, we have people in this region who change lines unauthorized. Everyone knows it is Steve Gerrard. Indeed, he even had to leave the cave from a wrong exit while relining the cave, as he went in side mount and had forgot to realize his tank was empty. Apparently.  Anyhow, someone has to replace the line and remove the bright yellow polypropeline line (yes, you read correctly, a line that floats!!) and that was us. We got permission from the safety officers of the area, and the QRSS. To remind people, ripping out lines and arrows, and replacing them with new arrows advertising a company, is exactly the same as putting a cup of Starbucks on the Mona Lisa, or climbing everest to replace the flag with a MacDonalds sign. It is the work of those who are unprofessional, dangerous, crass, petit and cheap. Evidence of the original exploration is as much part of the cave’s history and integrity as anything else. Leave it.
