Hotel Tips.

1. Everyone’s tastes are different, and so the advice we can offer is limited, but we will do our best to inform you accurately.

2. Remember that we will be spending most of our time in the field away from the hotel. Days start at 8.30 am and finish at 5.00pm. If like most your budget is limited, choose a cheaper hotel in town. They are good value, and you will be able to have Playa Del Carmen as your living room. The saving can be as big as a couple of days extra diving or a new quality regulator.

3. If you are choosing an all inclusive ask if they can make you lunch to take with you and if they will allow access for Underworld Adventures to pick you up.

4. We are based in Playa Del Carmen, but can operate anywhere between here and Tulum.

5. Shop around. The all inclusive can look a little more expensive, but a lot of the time you can get great deals on packages that include flights, accommodation and transport to and from the airport. The all inclusive can be restrictive, but if you don’t have the problem of feeding yourself every night, and you are not there in the day time, then who is complaining?

6. The Riviera Maya has no real low season. Christmas, Easter and Summer are very busy with the christian calendar, and it is more expensive during these times. Cave diving here is completely unaffected by the seasons, and so choosing a time  which is not in the middle of the peak seasons can save you money.
